Recruitment

Please Bring Me Home is a federally recognized, not-for-profit organization that assists in the investigation of missing persons in Canada. For a missing person to be featured on our website a family member or relative of a missing person must contacts us. We then proceed with the intake process and begin a formal investigation. Sometimes these cases have been cold for years or decades, other times the person disappeared recently or only weeks or months ago. We work within the framework of the criminal justice system in respect to each provincial or municipal law enforcement agency, and we have a commitment to the families we work for to never give up, do everything we can, and be a source of support during this process.

The ideal candidate will possess one or more of these assets:

  • Background in law enforcement or the criminal justice system, active or retired
  • Experience in search and rescue operations
  • A background in psychology, emphasis on criminal and behavioral psychology
  • Experience in investigations and forensic research
  • An interest in cold cases and investigations
  • A genuine desire to volunteer your time and skills

If you are interested in joining Please Bring Me Home, please Apply below. Tell us about yourself and why you want to join our team. Some members of the team, depending on position, may need to provide a criminal record check. All work is on a volunteer basis, and we ask you dedicate at least 10-15 hours per week to your respective cases. We do not have strict expectations of our team; we just ask that you make time for the people you have committed to helping.
