Emma Fillipoff disappeared on November 28, 2012, around the Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia, between 7 and 8 p.m. Her red Mazda was found in the Chateau Victoria parking lot still containing all of her personal belongings such as her passport, laptop, library card, clothes, pillow and ornaments. It is believed that Emma was planning on traveling the island while living out of her van. She had been staying at the Sandy Merman Woman’s shelter previous to the date of her disappearance. The staff at the shelter had called the police to report Emma’s sudden drastic change in behavior however the police didn't followup. They told the staff to call them again if it continued.Emma had been spotted acting erratically and “vacant eyed” through the hours leading up to her disappearance. Witnesses say she was pacing back and forth on the sidewalk, while others saw her staring blankly down at the curb. When asked if she needed help, she would become visibly distraught and walk away. On November 28, 2012, at 7:17 p.m., the police were called about Emma’s concerning behavior. They located Emma barefoot and proceeded to speak with her for roughly 45 minutes. It’s believed that she only answered “yes or no” until the end of the interaction where she told them her name. The police confirmed that she was not a concern to herself or the public and let her walk away.Extensive searches of land and water were conducted for Emma. A prepaid debit card Emma purchased was used at a Petro Canada on Sook Road on December 3, 2012. The man that used card was cleared of any involvement by police.According to a news release, on May 27, 2014, an agitated man in a green T-shirt with a pronounced limp and tattooed arms entered a clothing boutique in downtown Vancouver holding a crumpled missing person poster of Emma. The man claimed Emma was not missing and referred to her as his girlfriend, but he left the store before the police could arrive.SummaryDate of Disappearance: November 29, 2012Location of Disappearance: Victoria B.CAge at Disappearance: 26 years oldDate of Birth:January 6, 1986Height: 5’5″Weight: 90 -110 lbsHair Color: Light brown often long lengthEye Color: BrownGender: FemaleRace: CaucasianInvestigating Agency: Victoria Police DepartmentDental Information: None to noteNotable Identifiers: None to noteMedical Information:Possibly struggling with mental health issues, in emotional distress, acting erratically very vulnerable at the time. Cousins, Shawn and Leslie Jones, planned to attend a dance in Lion’s Head, Ontario, on October 22, 1993. At some point that evening, they used their grandmother’s car without asking. The car was found the following day crashed into a tree near Lion’s Head. Shawn and Leslie were nowhere to be found. In the coming days, there would be multiple sightings of the pair. They were seen at a house in Wiarton, along with breaking into a few cottages near Wiarton. Apparently, during the break and enters, Shawn and Leslie may have stolen a canoe, and people may have been trying to stop them. It is believed that the break and enters happened prior to them being seen in Wiarton. The last believed sighting was of Leslie at the Tim Horton’s in Owen Sound by his uncle who gave Leslie five dollars. Leslie told his uncle that he and Shawn were sleeping in vehicles throughout Owen Sound. At this time, Leslie’s uncle was not aware that police were looking for them as there was nothing in the news. There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to the location of Shawn and Leslie.pleasebringmehome.comAnonymous Tip Hotline 1-226-702-2728tips@pleasebringmehome.com ...
