Ruth Jackson was last seen in a small store accompanied by her husband located in Denbigh Ontario on June 13th 1999. A person at the store witnessed them and notes that “she did not know who she was”. Ruth and her husband were spending time at their cottage located in Denbigh at the time. It is believed that she and her husband were on their way back to the cottage when Ruth left the family van and wandered off. Her husband was found in Tamworth Ontario alone sweaty and disoriented. He had no recollection as to how he got there or of the day that his wife vanished. It is believed that he may have been in diabetic shock. The Napanee OPP conducted a large search as well as public searches over the years but unfortunately Ruth has yet to be located. Ruth and her husband were both suffering from alzheimer’s. Foul play has not been ruled out.
