Tyler was 26-years-old when he was last seen in Williams Lake at 7 p.m. on November 9, 2009. Tyler moved back to Williams Lake from Vancouver in the spring of 2009. His father described him as upbeat, positive, intelligent, and wanting to be an entrepreneur. It is stated that his father noticed about a week before his disappearance that Tyler wasn’t like his usual encouraging, upbeat self. He seemed to be ‘totally out of character. He seemed very bitter and very down on people.’ About a week before he went missing, Tyler had been attacked while riding a bike in the Glendale area. It was a “knock him out fight”, and the attempted robbery really shook him, his dad recalled. Police have checked Tyler’s bank records, finding only that Tyler made a bank deposit before he went missing. His wallet, identification, vehicle (bought a few days before), bicycle, toothbrush, and other personal belongings were still at his home when he disappeared. Tyler’s jacket was also left at home. All that seemed missing was the clothes he was wearing. He has friends all over the place and loves to travel and Tyler is not the type to leave without telling anyone where he is going. There is a Facebook page set up with nearly 1000 members called "Where in the World is Tyler Walton". His mom's name is Chantal Desruisseaux and she has a Facebook page for contact. A helicopter and numerous ground searches of the forested area around Williams Lake yielded no results.
