Bill (William) Kwiatek

Case Analysis

In July of 1988, Bill had been living in northwest Calgary but was working construction in Canmore, Alberta at the time of his disappearance. The last confirmed sighting was in Caroline, Alberta. It is said that he was planning on going back to Canmore and then to Calgary. There is a possibility that he hitchhiked from Canmore to Calgary because he was going to sell his truck before leaving for Calgary. It is noted that Bill had packed all of his personal belongings in a plastic bag to carry; none of these items have ever been recovered. He was in a volatile relationship at the time that consisted of a lot of abuse. Police were called to his place of residence for calls of disturbances. Foul play has not been ruled out at this point.
