Juanita last spoke with her family on September 25, 2024, with her final recorded bank transaction taking place the following day.

Reports of her last known sighting differ slightly. One witness recalled seeing her walking near Oakhill Drive and Highway 551 on October 2, 2024, around 10:30 a.m. However, other witnesses later came forward stating they saw her on October 4, 2024, along Riverside Drive.

A missing persons report was filed on October 7, 2024, sparking an ongoing search led by family, friends, and community members working closely with authorities. Their determination remains unwavering, they continue to hope that someone, somewhere, holds the information that can help bring Juanita home.
