Cheryl Hanson

Seven-year-old Cheryl Hanson disappeared on May 31, 1974, in Aurora, Ontario. Around 6:30 p.m., Cheryl left her home on Bloomington Road to walk approximately 10 minutes to her cousin’s family home, where she planned to have supper and stay overnight. She never arrived.

Cheryl was wearing a red coat over a dark brown checked sweater and matching pants, white leather shoes, and a gold necklace with a medallion. She was carrying a paper bag containing white pajamas with a red floral design.

Despite an extensive search involving police, volunteers, aircraft, CB radio operators, and military personnel, Cheryl was never found.

More than 50 years later, Cheryl remains missing. Her family continues to hope that someone may have information that can finally help answer what happened to her and bring her home.
