Byron Watson
Byron Watson, 23, was last seen on the morning of November 26, 2023, in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Since that day, his disappearance has sparked an urgent and far-reaching search, one marked by determination, heart, and hope.
Search teams have covered over 170 square kilometers using ground crews, drones, and the tireless efforts of RCMP officers, family members, and dedicated community volunteers. Yet, despite these extensive efforts, no trace of Byron has been found.
Byron is not just missing, he is deeply missed. He is a beloved son, nephew, and friend. Known for his happy-go-lucky nature and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need, Byron touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He had plans to return to work in the oil fields in January 2024, hopeful for the future and excited about the path ahead.
In the months since his disappearance, Byron’s family has done everything possible to aid the search. They’ve used social media to spread awareness, carefully monitored his digital and financial activity, and even picked up his final paycheque in hopes of finding clues about his last known movements. At one point, police presented a photo that might include Byron. While the family recognized the coat and hat, the pants and boots were unfamiliar, leaving more questions than answers.
A red shirt now hangs in a window, a symbol that Byron is still missing and a constant reminder of their unwavering hope that he will be found.
A message from Byron’s family:
“We want answers. We need to know what happened to Byron. Not knowing has left a hole in our hearts. We won’t stop searching until he’s home.”
